Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to Strengthen Ties in AI, Semiconductors, and Digital Development
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to foster cooperation in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors and digital infrastructure. The IT ministers of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia met recently and discussed connecting their digital systems, developing regional data centres and working on the Pakistan Digital Corridor.
Pakistan has also approved a RS4.8 billion project to train over 7000 individuals in semiconductor technologies. It also demonstrated its support for Saudi Arabia’s National Semiconductor Hub.
Both countries intend to strengthen their ties and also build strong partnerships between their tech companies to drive innovation, investment and job creation. In addition to that, both have also agreed to cooperate and work on cybersecurity and digital defence.
This meeting was also aimed at fostering growing ties between both brotherly countries. Pakistan intends to increase tech exports and produce skilled workers as Saudi Arabia speeds up digital investment under Vision 2030.
