Starlink in Education: Reaching the Unreachable

Access to the internet is vital for education. It can revolutionize the subject of education. Teachers and students can access a wide range of knowledge-based resources. It also enables interactive learning through virtual classrooms, online courses and educational applications. Students can learn at their own pace and also explore subjects beyond standard subjects.
However, people who live in remote and far-flung areas often struggle to access the internet. Given this, rural schools and communities cannot keep the pace of learning. Pakistan’s rural areas are no exception. In many areas, students do not have seamless access to the internet. So, online material still remains out of their reach, limiting their learning abilities.
We understand that running traditional internet lines is not possible in several remote areas of the country. But now the situation can be transformed by incorporating modern technologies such as Starlink. This is a high-speed internet that offers fast and reliable internet to rural schools and communities.
Students who do not have access to the internet can now learn from the comfort of their homes via Starlink. It provides fast connectivity through easy-to-install satellite systems. This internet can also be used in remote areas of the country, offering seamless internet access without any interruption.
Given this, Starlink has opened new possibilities for education. The government needs to make Starlink Internet available in Pakistan to improve internet access to its citizens, facilitate rural students to get better learning and employment opportunities and build a better future.
